According to Ukrinform, on June 4, the Shevchenkovsky District Court in Kiev continued the preliminary investigation into the case of Major-General of the Security Services of Ukraine Valery Shaitanov, suspected of high treason and of preparing for terrorist attacks.

On April 14, Ukrainian security services counterintelligence arrested Major General SBU Valery Shaitanov on suspicion of treason and terrorist acts.

According to the investigation, in particular, he planned on the instructions of the Russian special services the murder of a volunteer Adam Osmaev.

On April 15, the Shevchenkovsky District Court in Kiev chose a preventive measure in the form of 60-day detention.
