The Pechersk district court in Kiev is considering a defense statement on the challenge of the investigating judge Sergei Vovk to consider a motion to elect a preventive measure to the former people’s deputy Tatyana Chornovol.
The court broadcast the meeting, reports the Ukrinform correspondent.
As indicated, on April 14, the lawyer for former deputy Tatyana Chernovol and the deputy herself arrested the investigating judge of the Kiev Pechersky Court, Sergey Vovka, after which an interruption was announced during the meeting at which Chernovol planned to take preventive action.
Earlier, the prosecution requested that a preventive measure in the form of house arrest be applied in Chernovol.
The popular deputy of the eighth convocation, Tatyana Chernovol, indicated on the morning of April 10 that a search was underway in her house.
The GBR then informed that she was suspected of intentional murder following an arson attack on the Party of Regions office in 2014.

Judge Sergei Vovk is known to have convicted former Minister of Internal Affairs Yuriy Lutsenko in 2012.
He was also one of these judges of the Pechersk district court, whom the VKKS suspended in March 2015 from his duties in connection with the opening of criminal proceedings against them, suspected of having rendered a decision deliberately unfair. However, in 2016, Vovk was reinstated.
