The Department of Health has said when to expect a Covid-19 outbreak after Easter

Five to ten days after the Easter holidays, an epidemic of new coronavirus infections may occur in Ukraine.

This was broadcast on TSN by Deputy Minister of Health Irina Mikichak.

“According to epidemiologists, and there is already some experience, on the fifth or tenth day after such a massive concentration of people in certain churches, we can expect an increase in incidence,” she said .

According to the deputy minister, this will happen due to the fact that many Ukrainians did not comply with quarantine and went to church, where they could be infected with a coronavirus.

“It happened and does happen after Palm Sunday. Unfortunately, we can expect such a threat in almost a week,” added Mikichak.

According to reports, the Ministry of Health has linked the increase in the number of people infected with the coronavirus in recent days to the neglect of the recommendation to stay at home on Palm Sunday, as well as to an increase in the number of tests.

“Many did not agree with our recommendations to stay home on Palm Sunday and not attend services. In this regard, the protests occurred on the fourth or fifth day after infection, and we have immediately noted an increase in the incidence of coronaviruses, “said Health Minister Maxim Stepanov.
