Vaccination during the coronavirus epidemic for adults is not recommended, while it is possible for children.
This was stated at a press conference by a doctor of medical science, professor, head of the infectious diseases department of NMU them. A. Bogomolets Olga Golubovskaya, the correspondent for Ukrinform reports.
“In the period of growth of any infectious disease, and especially in the period of the epidemic, I am against the holding of mass events with vaccination. I opposed vaccination in the Lviv region, when two epidemics have multiplied – the flu and measles. In other words, there are very big risks for people, and there were warnings from our main epidemiologists. As for the current situation, it is probably necessary to strongly limit the vaccination of adults without the urgent need for certain infectious diseases, because now the incidence is increasing, “said Golubovskaya.
However, she noted that COVID-19 is an unusual disease, it can start not only with pneumonia, but with respiratory failure. The sick person can get their own vaccine, but you cannot do it because it is a fairly serious procedure.

“As far as the planned vaccination of children is concerned, it may be worth doing, observing all possible restrictive measures, avoiding the queue of doctors,” suggested the infectious disease specialist.
As reported, in Ukraine on April 23, 7,170 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed, in total 72,296 samples were examined by PCR. On April 22, 578 confirmed case reports were received.
