The government has issued a decree on the provision of humanitarian aid to Italy

The Cabinet of Ministers instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Emergency Service to coordinate with the competent Italian authorities and to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Italy.

The corresponding ordinance No. 381-r of April 6 was published on the government portal.

It is noted that the document was adopted “in accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of April 3, 2020 No. 129” on the provision of humanitarian assistance to the Italian Italian Republic to help overcome the consequences of the situation emergency in the Italian Republic due to the spread of an acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by the SARS coronavirus -CoV-2. “

According to the decree, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Emergency Service must ensure the departure, delivery and transfer of humanitarian aid cargoes.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Emergency Service were also responsible for coordinating with the competent authorities of the Italian Republic the issue of delivery and transfer of humanitarian aid cargoes.

In addition, the State Customs Service must ensure prompt customs clearance and the State Border Services Administration – the priority exercise of control when crossing the State border with the specified cargo.

As reported, on April 3, President Vladimir Zelensky signed Decree No. 129/2020 on the provision of humanitarian assistance to Italy. According to the president’s office, as part of providing humanitarian aid to Italy, a team of Ukrainian doctors should have been dispatched to help fight the coronavirus. In addition, next week there are plans to supply medical alcohol to Italy, the volume of which is determined taking into account the needs of the Ukrainian domestic market.

On April 4, 20 doctors from the systems of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health went to help the Italian doctors. The mission will last two weeks.
