Deputy Minister of Health, Chief State Health Officer, Viktor Lyashko, said the health ministry will comment on the quarantine cancellation no later than 10 days from today.
He said this during a briefing on Wednesday, reports a Ukrinform correspondent.
“As for the introduction and cancellation of quarantine, the decision will be taken closer to the deadline for completion of quarantine. We are only on the third day of strict strict quarantine measures, so we will comment on the quarantine cancellation no later than 10 days from today, “said Lyashko, answering the question according to what criteria would a decision will be made to end the quarantine.
He added that the development of the epidemic situation in Ukraine concerning coronavirus disease is currently under study.
“We are comparing all the scenarios that occur in the countries of the European Union, as well as in neighboring countries, which were then introduced by preventive measures,” said the chief doctor.

As Ukrinform reported, since March 12, Ukraine has introduced quarantine in educational institutions and a number of other measures to control the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection. Over time, the quarantine was extended until April 24.
Since April 6, restrictive measures have been tightened in Ukraine: you cannot be in public places without personal protective equipment, in particular a respirator or a face mask, including those manufactured independently.

It is also forbidden to move a group of more than two people, except in the case of official necessity and accompanying persons under 14 years of age; visit parks, squares, recreational areas, forest parks and coastal areas, in addition to walking pets by one person and, if necessary, sports and playgrounds.
You cannot be on the street without identity documents confirming Ukrainian citizenship or special status.
According to the Center for Public Health, at 9 a.m. on April 8 in Ukraine, 1,668 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, 52 of which were fatal, 35 patients recovered. During the day, 206 new cases were recorded.
