Last year, the Superior Council of Justice sacked 247 judges for various reasons.
These data are included in the analytical information report on the activities of the High Council of Justice in 2019, published on the VSP website.
“In 2019, the VSP sacked 247 judges for various reasons,” said the report.
In particular, it should be noted that last year, the SCJ decided to dismiss 148 judges due to general circumstances, almost half of what it was in 2018 (293 judges).

In addition, in the past year, the SCJ has decided to dismiss 99 judges for special circumstances. Among them, 66 judges were dismissed for committing a serious disciplinary offense, gross or systematic negligence in the exercise of their functions, which is incompatible with the status of judge or has revealed his incompatibility with the post occupied. Furthermore, the decision to dismiss 53 judges was taken on the basis of the observations of the disciplinary chambers of the VSP2, on the recommendation of the VKKSU11, on the results of the review of the decision of the Superior Council of Justice after the Supreme Court overturned the decision of the Verkhovna Rada to dismiss the judge for breach of the oath, as well as after the review of the decision by the European Parliament. human rights tribunal.

Another decision regarding the dismissal of a judge from the VSP post was taken due to his violation of the conditions of incompatibility.
At the same time, 32 of the 99 judges indicated were dismissed because of a mismatch in their position according to the results of the assessment of qualifications in accordance with the observations of the High Qualification Commission for Judges.
It has been reported that since the beginning of 2020, the Higher Council of Justice has decided to dismiss 78 judges.
