IOM, as part of the United Nations response to COVID-19 in Ukraine, wishes to channel $ 28,500 to reduce the immediate short and medium term consequences of such a situation. About two-thirds of the total is expected to go to eastern Ukraine, in the conflict zone, where it is planned to distribute hygiene kits for medical facilities, as well as repair health and medical infrastructure. water supply.

With WHO, IOM is ready to help Ukraine respond to COVID-19, provide operational and technical support in the area of migration and health, and prepare for a possible second wave of morbidity. The organization redistributes the resources available to fight the virus.
IOM also plans to provide psychosocial support to vulnerable migrants and children of Ukrainian migrant workers who cannot return due to restrictions.
IOM estimates that up to 700,000 Ukrainians have already lost their jobs in the first few weeks of quarantine.
