The lack of reliable information during the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident put the lives of many people at the same time, and that is why the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is as open as possible on the issue of information on the status of the incidence of COVID-19.
This was announced during a briefing on April 26 by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“The lack of reliable information then threatened the lives of so many people. That is why we are trying today to be as open as possible, to provide the most reliable information on COVID-19 coronavirus disease, the course of this disease in Ukraine and the state of medicine, “said Stepanov.
He added that we must remember the exploit of the liquidators of the greatest man-made disaster in the history of mankind, which saved mankind at the cost of their lives.

As noted, April 26 marks the International Day of Remembrance for the Chernobyl disaster.
According to the cost center, as of April 9 on April 26 in Ukraine, 8,617 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which 209 were fatal, 840 patients have recovered. 492 new cases were registered per day.
