The Ministry of Health will ask to reinforce quarantine measures in transport and stores
The Ministry of Health will begin to strictly enforce quarantine.
Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said this at a briefing on June 19, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“Today, we are going to initiate as much as possible a strict control by the Ministry of Health on the respect of quarantine conditions by different institutions: we are talking about vehicles used by people without mask or protective equipment; we are talking about some supermarkets where they no longer respect social distance, they do not use We think that a strict restriction should start to be introduced in the conditions of adaptive quarantine. When I talk about a strict restriction, I am mainly talking about restricting the work of various institutions, including nightclubs. These plans that we all see on social networks “Of course, the disease will only progress, and the number of patients will only increase with this attitude. We will initiate the introduction of all these things, the convening of commissions regional TEB-TCHS to introduce appropriate restrictions, “said Stepanov.
He stressed that among the measures to respond to the increased incidence of COVID-19, monitoring by the National Food and Beverage Service and the National Police should impose fines on violators of quarantine conditions, measures additional restrictive measures, which are prescribed by the relevant government decision in certain territories subject to quarantine conditions.

However, according to Stepanov, the main event is a change in attitude of Ukrainians towards COVID-19 and the fulfillment of all requirements established by the government.
As Ukrinform reported, in one day in Ukraine, COVID-19 contracted 921 people, registered 19 fatal cases and 586 patients recovered. During the entire pandemic period, 34,984 people fell ill, including 2,570 children and 5,877 health workers, a total of 16,033 people and 985 deaths.
