The Museum of the Revolution of Dignity will hold the “Mallows of memory” action for the first time
The National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity, on May 23, Heroes’ Day, will organize a “Memory Mallows” action dedicated to the heroes of Heavenly Hundred and the soldiers of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
As Ukrinform was informed by the museum’s press service, the action, which started with the public organization “Family of Heavenly Hundred Heroes”, will take place for the first time this year.
“On this day, passers-by will be able to see paper flowers – purple in commemorative places. They were made by the families of the dead heroes. Thus, we express not only our gratitude to the soldiers: those who survived and those who are no longer – but which are also drawing the attention of society and authorities to this day. Due to quarantine, we are doing this in a tight circle. Although it was designed with the participation of a large audience, the distribution of relevant information leaflets on the history of this day and the heroes who have chosen the path of service in Ukraine, “said the rally coordinator, responsible for education. organizing service of the National Museum of the Revolution of Dignity Olga Savenok.

The program of Heroes’ Day events provides for 12 noon to honor the memory of Russian-Ukrainian war fighters with the participation of families of heroes near the memorial wall of St. Michael’s Cathedral. At 12:40 p.m., flowers will be placed on the Avenue des Héros du Ciel by the hundreds with the participation of the mothers and wives of those who died on the Maidan; at 2:00 p.m. – a requiem near the chapel on avenue des Héros of Heavenly Hundred.
The organizers plan to make the campaign annual and entirely Ukrainian.
Hero Day events have been held since 2014, but that day is not yet an official holiday.
