Oleg Sokolov / Anastasia Yeshchenko
Today, the Russian media are discussing the appearance on the video recording network of a quarrel between historian Oleg Sokolov, 63, and 24-year-old graduate student Anastasia Yeshenko, accused of murder. As Eschenko family lawyer Alexander Baksheev told reporters, the video was produced by Sokolov himself several hours before Anastasia’s death. According to the defense of the injured party, the appearance of these images on YouTube seems suspicious. Hate you! Get out, let me go! I do not love you anymore! – said Anastasia Yeshchenko, who shot him with the phone’s camera in Sokolov.
Alexandra Baksheeva hinted that he would later have wanted to use this file to confirm his innocence in the disappearance of Anastasia, because in the last images it is clear that Yeshenko is leaving Sokolov’s apartment.
Yesterday, the accused refused the services of his lawyer Alexander Pochuev and his assistant, because they had received threats. Pochuev also commented on the appearance of a video quarrel between Sokolov and Yeshchenko on the network. The lawyer said the documents were leaked and stressed that the historian’s defense had nothing to do with it.
Anastasia Yeshenko and Oleg Sokolov
Oleg Sokolov was arrested by police on November 9 – then bystanders took him out of the Moika River, where he tried to drown his backpack. Later, it turned out that Sokolov’s bag contained a traumatic pistol and severed female hands.
