The owner of one of the largest Ukrainian distribution companies has been informed of a suspicion of treason.
This was reported by the press service of the Attorney General’s Office.
“Suspicions of high treason have been reported to citizens of Ukraine – the owner and the lawyer of one of the largest Ukrainian holding companies-suppliers,” the statement said.
According to investigators, the owner of a Ukrainian company that provides a range of IT services for large corporate customers, government agencies, telecommunications providers and operators, small and medium enterprises and individuals, in advance agreement with the lawyer of the said enterprise and with the help of a citizen of the Russian Federation, the connected telecommunications networks of the specified legal entity to the System of Operational Research Measures, monitors and stores confidential user data on the Internet for Itorii’s the Crimean peninsula in the interest of the FSB of the occupying country.
“They have also given access to the network of Inspector hardware and software complex, which is designed to block access to information resources, content and websites, the list of which is determined by Roskomnadzor, including official resources of of Ukraine, “at the Prosecutor General’s Office.

As noted, the placement of the equipment specified for operational research measurements and the storage of information thereon enables the Russian Federation and individual units of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation and their representatives to ” access the communication content of subscribers located in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, information on their location, volume of services received.
“This information is used by special services to identify and prosecute people who do not agree with the change of borders of the territory of Ukraine and the occupation of Crimea, as well as to counter the legitimate activities of the forces of law enforcement and other state bodies in Ukraine, “said the department.

In addition, these actions have contributed to the blocking on the territory of the Crimean peninsula of the possibility of obtaining from Ukrainian citizens objective information on the situation in Ukraine and the information necessary to protect their rights and freedoms under occupation, noted the Attorney General’s Office.
The question of the application of measures to ensure criminal proceedings against these suspects is being resolved.
