The Poroshenko Foundation bought 100,000 protective suits for doctors in South Korea. The first batch of 10,000 has already arrived in Ukraine.
This was reported by the co-chair of the parliamentary faction of the “European Solidarity” political party Irina Gerashchenko on Facebook.
“In total, the Petro and Maryna Poroshenko Foundation bought a hundred thousand of these suits (protective suits for doctors – ed.). They will go to all regions of Ukraine, not just to hospitals for infectious diseases, not just the hospitals recognized for their support. The suits will go to the hospital, where there is nothing at all, “said Gerashchenko in a video posted on his page.
She noted that today it is very important to observe the quarantine and protect the Ukrainian doctor. The first batch of protective suits, 10,000, has already been sent to the regions.
As noted in European Solidarity, the procurement of medical equipment takes place in an extremely fierce global competition. Some of the protective suits already reserved for Ukraine in China have been purchased by Russian representatives. Now this order is being filled by suppliers from South Korea.
“Do you know how much we have contracted costumes? All that was in China for 1.5 and a half months was 70,000. Now, due to peak and demand, our costumes are outbid by the Russians, paying two times more. And factories that are under contract disrupt supply “Today we are reorienting ourselves and we are starting to buy 100,000 suits in Korea – my Foundation and Roshen,” said the fifth chairman, party leader of European solidarity, Petro Poroshenko.
