The head of the intensive care unit Igor Malysh thanked for the help and said that since the transfer of the two previous devices, they had already saved the lives of 15 patients.
“These devices are more than 10 years old and they needed a major overhaul. And thanks to the Fund, this repair was carried out. In other words, they replaced everything – the electronics, replaced the engines, the turbines in these devices – we can say, completely new devices that will last at least 10 years, “said Malysh.
The director of the municipal enterprise “Kiev City Emergency Clinical Hospital”, Alexander Tkachenko, noted that this equipment is extremely necessary for the treatment of people suffering from lung damage and complications from coronavirus disease.
According to the press service, Maryna Poroshenko, who visited this hospital for the second time in recent weeks, noted that helping doctors today is a top priority, because doctors are at the forefront of the fight against l ‘epidemic.
“For the Poroshenko Foundation, the priority is to help doctors who are now at the forefront of protecting the Ukrainian population against coronaviruses. Unfortunately, today 30 doctors are sick. The Poroshenko Foundation does everything necessary to protect our doctors. We have already financed the supply of glasses and 700,000 masks, 70,000 medical protective suits. We transfer them to hospitals all over Ukraine. And x-ray machines that help quickly diagnose pneumonia and prescribe the right treatment, ”said Marina Poroshenko.

She also reported that in addition to 10 mechanical ventilation devices, which have already been transferred to the capital’s hospital, five ventilation devices for the Nikolaev and Ivano-Frankivsk regions are already being restored. “We are doing all of this to help withstand these difficult trials that all of Ukraine is facing. I think that together we will overcome this misfortune and save dozens and hundreds of lives of Ukrainians, “she added.
As reported by Ukrinform, according to the Ministry of Health, on the morning of April 3 in Ukraine, 942 cases of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19, of which 23 were fatal, 19 patients have recovered. During the day, 138 new cases were recorded.
