The International Sports Research Center (CIES Football Observatory) has identified the most expensive players in the world on its official website at the moment.
Only football players from the top 5 leagues in Europe – England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France – were included in the ranking.
The most expensive footballer remains Paris Saint-Germain forward Kilian Mbappé. However, compared to the start of the year, the transfer value of a 21-year-old Frenchman increased from 265.2 million euros to 259.2 million.
Good statistics for Manchester City’s attacking midfielder Rakhim Sterling is that the 25-year-old Englishman retained the second row in the standings. Bad – Rahim has dropped by 29 million and now costs 194.7 million euros.
A striking positive trend was demonstrated by Trent Alexander-Arnold – Liverpool’s ‘weighted’ flanker from 60.6 million euros to 171.1 million euros, which allowed the Englishman to 21 years to climb to 4th place.
Also added in value his compatriot Trent Jadon Sancho. However, the positive dynamics of the 20-year-old midfielder for Borussia Dortmund is not as impressive as that of the Liverpool player – “only” + 10.2 million, and now Jadon costs 179.1 million euros, forcing Mohamed Salah out of the top 3.
It should be noted that Barcelona captain Lionel Messi and Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo are not even in the top 20. The Argentinian is the 21st and costs 100.1 million euros, while the Portuguese is completely 70th (62.8 million).
