The Ministry of Health will propose removing restrictions on mass events in the final stages of quarantine release and only after the stabilization of the epidemic situation in the country.
This was said by Deputy Minister of Health, Chief Medical Officer of Health Viktor Lyashko during a briefing on Monday May 18, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“Mass events will be one of the last to open, since mass events are a mass population and the greatest risk of transmission of an infectious disease transmitted by drip. Therefore, we will offer to open mass events in the later stages of quarantine release and only after the epidemic situation has stabilized, ”said Lyashko, responding to the question of when mass events can take place.
As for whether permission to organize mass events will be simultaneous for all regions, he said that “history will show, but we are first considering the question of the introduction of adaptive quarantine in our country “.
That is, as Lyashko explained, mitigation will occur in areas that respond to certain epidemiological indicators.

According to him, today among these indicators, the incidence rate per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 7 days, the capacity of the hospital bed in a particular area, the number of tests in the last 7 days are taken into account. account, an increase coefficient will be considered – growth dynamics or stabilization of the number of new cases of coronavirus disease.
As reported, as of May 18, 18,616 cases of COVID-19 had been laboratory confirmed in Ukraine. There are 325 new cases per day. A total of 5,276 people recovered, 535 fatal cases.
