Two anesthesiologists from the Center for Western Ukrainian Children and a doctor from the Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital traveled voluntarily to Italy as part of a delegation from the Ukrainian Ministry of Health to support the experience of treating patients with of coronavirus.
This was reported by the press service of the Lviv State Regional Administration.
“Thank you to our doctors for their dedicated work. I am sure this knowledge will help save more than one life. Thanks also to the UNIKA insurance company, which paid for the life and health insurance of these doctors, “said Lviv regional head Maxim Kozitsky.

As reported, yesterday the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on the aid of Italy in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. The document states that a team of Ukrainian doctors will travel to Italy to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic and exchange experiences. Some doctors will be determined by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, others by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Therefore, Ukraine will provide payment and protection for doctors, and the Italian side will provide accommodation and meals.
As chief medical officer of health Viktor Lyashko said on April 4, 20 doctors have already flown to Italy.
