Three years of visa-free travel: Ukrainians have issued more than 11.5 million international passports
During the three years of the visa-free regime, units of the National Migration Service issued more than 11.5 million passports of a Ukrainian citizen to travel abroad.

“During the three years of visa-free travel, units of the Migration Service have issued more than 11.5 million passports of a Ukrainian citizen to travel abroad. In general, since the introduction of biometric passports in Ukraine, 15 million of these documents have been issued, “the statement said.
It is specified that in recent months, due to the introduction of quarantine in Ukraine, the National Migration Service has observed a slight decrease in the number of passports issued, because during this period these administrative services were not provided by the HMS only in exceptional cases.

After the weakening of quarantine measures, the number of people wishing to obtain a passport of a Ukrainian citizen to travel abroad is increasing again, according to GMS.
As noted, on June 11, 2020, three years passed when Ukrainians with biometric passports were able to travel without a visa to EU countries.
Since the start of visa-free travel, Ukrainians have made almost 49 million trips to EU countries, using biometric and non-biometric documents.
