In addition, in November 2018, NABU announced the end of a preliminary investigation against Vladimir Omelyan into the facts of a possible illegal enrichment and the declaration of false information.

The Kiev Solomensky District Court closed the criminal proceedings against Omelyan for illicit enrichment in April, but decided to designate the minister for having declared inaccurate information on two episodes.

In particular, Omelyan is accused of having submitted statements for 2015 and 2016, deliberately indicating information that differs from reliable information for more than 3 million hryvnias and 8 million hryvnias, respectively.
