Turkey helped evacuate nine Ukrainian citizens from Argentina.

They have arrived in Istanbul, from where they will fly to Minsk via Ukraine, said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Turkey Andriy Sibiga.

“I call this a real strategic partnership in action, as well as on many other important issues on the bilateral agenda. As a result, our embassies in Argentina have prepared and agreed on a list of 9 Ukrainians who have visited Turkey this morning, “said the ambassador.

He said Ukrainians were forced to get stuck in Argentina, who had to go home. There is currently no direct communication with Ukraine. The six countries that sent planes for their compatriots, whom the Ukrainian side asked to help the return of our citizens from Argentina, were refused.

“We have also launched an appeal to the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ask it to consider the admission of Ukrainian citizens to a special evacuation flight of Turkish airlines, organized by the Turkish authorities for their compatriots in Buenos Aires. And in this case, we received a positive response, for which we are very grateful. said the diplomat.

The Turkish Airlines plane was to go to Ankara, but later the route was changed and the Ukrainians arrived in Istanbul, where they are taken care of by the Ukrainian consulate general. The other evacuees will return home in transit through Minsk.
