Company Expands Free Shuttle Heroes Service in Kiev

Starting on April 6, Shuttle Heroes – a free service based on Uber shuttle technologies – will be available to all holders of “special public transport tickets”, which are required to staff critical infrastructure enterprises in Kiev. It was stated in the company’s press release.

Shuttle Heroes services in Kiev will now be able to be used for free, in collaboration with medical staff for whom they had previously started the service:

  1. Social Worker
  2. Business worker
  3. Ukraine State Emergency Service Staff
  4. Employees of “Kievvodokanal” and “Kievteploenergo”
  5. Representative of the District State Administration of Kiev
  6. Media representative

As the head of Uber development in Central and Eastern Europe, George Sokolinski noted, using the Uber shuttle, the above-class citizens would be able to get to work for free.

To use Shuttle Heroes, special ticket holders must book a ride through the Uber or Uber Shuttle application. Drivers will check passengers for special tickets and medical masks.

Uber together with local authorities will inform business leaders about a new opportunity for employees to travel and work from all areas of Kiev. All 18 routes with 470 stops will be available from Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 21:00. For more information on routes, see Uber website.

Earlier, we wrote that Uber introduced a separate application for Uber Shuttle – a service to book seats in comfortable “minibuses”. With this, the user can order travel by minibus around the city within certain routes. Till now, this service is only available for Android users.
