Since March 1, 176 mechanical ventilation devices have been purchased in Ukraine.
This was announced during a briefing on April 17 by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“In total, as of March 1, the number of ventilators purchased and installed in addition to hospitals working with patients with COVID-19 is 176,” said Stepanov.
According to him, this number is constantly increasing.

As Ukrinform reported, Stepanov previously stated that in the 242 hospitals that are the first to receive patients with COVID-19, there are 2,000 mechanical ventilation devices. The Ministry of Health also plans to purchase 838 additional ventilators.
In Ukraine, 4,662 cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded, 501 new cases per day.
