Former Ukrainian navy commander Vice Admiral Sergey Gaiduk says the Kremlin leadership did not bury the Novorossiya project. According to him, Russia still wants to make a land corridor to the annexed Crimea.
This is reported by the NPF, referring to “Economic news. ”
Sergey Gayduk noted that the situation in eastern Ukraine remains unstable. Therefore, the former Navy commander believes that it will be wrong to say that Russia refused to implement the Novorossiya project. According to the military, the Kremlin needs a land corridor to the annexed Crimea. Gayduk fears that the Russian Federation will deprive Ukraine of access to the Sea of Azov, which, after the annexation of Crimea, is in fact controlled by the Russian army.
“The Kremlin has not abandoned the Novorossiya project, according to which Ukraine could lose access to the waters of the Sea of Azov,” said Gaiduk.
In addition, according to Haiduk, the Ukrainian leaders should be aware of this danger. The former commander of the Ukrainian navy believes that Ukraine should increase its intelligence system and strengthen its military contingent in the region.
