Ukraine has managed to avoid a critical scenario with COVID-19 – Zelensky
Ukraine has managed to avoid a critical scenario regarding the spread of the coronavirus due to the rigorous measures taken over time and the professionalism of the doctors.
This was stated in a video message by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
“There are two reasons why a critical scenario was avoided. The first concerns timely action. The second is the merit of our Ukrainian doctors, “he said.
According to the head of state, he received numerous medical calls from across the country. All relate to the second stage of medical reform.
“We have created a working group, which includes academics, professors and honored doctors from our country. With the new management of the Ministry of Health, they analyzed the situation. Our task is to preserve all positive aspects and to correct errors as a matter of urgency. In particular, due to the new funding mechanism, around 50,000 doctors can be dismissed and 332 hospitals closed. Nearly 1,000 hospitals will receive significantly less money than last year, “said the president.
