“Despite the difficult period caused by external aggression, Ukraine is not only successfully fighting the consequences of the accident, but is also doing everything to transform the Chernobyl area from the” black hole “into a safe area for change and develop modern technologies, “said the Foreign Ministry.

At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed that, despite the results obtained, Ukraine faces many challenges on a daily basis linked both to the management of the exclusion zone and to the Chernobyl issue in its together.

Therefore, we urge all those who wish to continue constructive cooperation aimed at minimizing the long-term consequences of the Chernobyl disaster, in particular, to ensure the sustainable development of the affected regions”, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The diplomats noted that more than 5,000 highly qualified specialists currently provide radiation and environmental security in the exclusion zone every day.
