Every medical service provided by Ukrainian health facilities should be standardized, said the head of the Ministry of Health Maxim Stepanov.

Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

“In my opinion, in addition to funding, first of all, other indicators should be considered a successful institution – it is the number of cases fully healed, including the death rate that exists in a particular hospital, the length of stay in hospital. These criteria should be clearly defined. “How are they determined? They are determined, in my opinion, by standards of medical care in the context of a particular case. He stressed that these national standards should be approved at the state level and based on national treatment protocols.
