Ukraine transferred five tonnes of disinfectants to Italy

On Wednesday morning, five tons of disinfectant were sent by plane from the National Guard to Rome.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of the Interior.

“This is the second cycle of assistance to Italy. We are shipping five tonnes of special disinfectants which will be used to disinfect hospitals and the hands of medical workers. The alcohol content is 70%. The product meets the requirements of the World Health Organization. We have not allocated additional funds for the purchase of funds. Our units have disinfection facilities, ”said Deputy Minister Sergey Goncharov.

According to the official, the Italian government has expressed its gratitude to Ukraine for its support.

“Two teams of Ukrainian doctors have already started working in two hospitals in Italy. Every evening, we organize online conferences where doctors tell how medical, epidemiological and preventive work is organized there. It is an experience that we can use today in the fight against the virus. Our doctors are in a good mood, they feel the support of their Italian colleagues and our diaspora, “said Goncharov.

The Italian Ambassador to Ukraine, David La Cecilia, thanked the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and the Minister of the Interior Arsen Avakov for the necessary help and support for Italian doctors.

“The Italian side really appreciates this contribution. In Italy, colleagues and patients were warmly welcomed by Ukrainian doctors. They will have access to treatment protocols. We are very proud of this cooperation, ”said David La Cecilia.

As previously reported, 20 doctors from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Health systems flew to assist Italian doctors.
