Ukrainian died of coronavirus in Britain – Ministry of Foreign Affairs
A Ukrainian citizen, born in 1978, died of a coronavirus in the United Kingdom, Ukrainian diplomats are helping relatives to resolve the repatriation of the body.
This was announced at Ukrinform on Tuesday May 19 by the director of the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Pogoreltsev.
“The Ukrainian Embassy in the United Kingdom has received information on the May 17 death in Chertsy, Surrey, of a Ukrainian citizen born in 1978 infected with a coronavirus,” said the diplomat.
He added that the embassy is helping the relatives of the deceased to prepare the necessary documents and resolve the problems of repatriation of the body.

“The case is under the control of the Department of Consular Services of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ukrainian Embassy in the United Kingdom,” said Pogoreltsev.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the evening of May 18, 141 Ukrainians were undergoing treatment for coronavirus abroad, while 8 people died.
