Ukrainian diplomats, as part of the Protect Defenders campaign, have collected more than 1.7 million hryvnia, for which the Come Back Alive Foundation will purchase personal protective equipment for military doctors.
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said this during an online briefing on April 28, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“As part of this action, Ukrainian diplomats collected more than 750 million hryvnias and transferred them to a special account of the charity” Come back alive “. The diplomats deducted this money from their salary, that is to say that it is directly their income that they shared with the “Come back alive” fund so that the fund purchases the equipment necessary for military doctors ” said Kuleba.
He added that diplomats and the military hold two parts of the same front – protecting the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine, so the diplomats decided at this difficult time to help military doctors.
The head of the Fund, Vitaly Deynega, said that the funds collected by the diplomats will be used to buy personal protective equipment for military doctors.
