Ukrainian doctors can now conduct online consultations

On the basis of the entirely Ukrainian system “Clinic without queues”, an online consultation function has been introduced, which allows doctors to consult patients remotely.

This was announced to Ukrinform by co-founder of the IT4Medicine group of companies Andrey Zayats.

“Until recently, online patient consultations were irrelevant to doctors because there is a usual routine: patients are used to coming, doctors are used to waiting in their offices. Now, due to the spread of COVID-19 and quarantine measures, this problem has become acute, so we have provided such a technical opportunity to users of the polyclinic without queues, “said Zayats.

According to him, first of all, doctors should configure this function – to indicate in the system that they can provide consultations online. After that, patients will see which doctors can provide remote consultations and can book an appointment online.

“At the specified time, the patient enters their personal office and reception begins in audio or video format,” said Zayats.

He added that this format has been available since April 6.

The co-founder of IT4Medicine noted that the system of remote advice between doctors is already working in the Odessa region, where all the primary health care centers, the regional hospital and other regional level medical institutions are integrated into a single telemedicine platform. This allows primary care hospitals and other levels of medical care to consult colleagues about treatment, without referring the patient to a medical facility in another location.

Among other things, you can register for an online consultation via the NSSB Ohmatdet NSSB diagnostic and diagnostic clinic, the NSSB Blood Service Center in Okhmatdet and Kiev Children’s Diagnostic Center.

The medical information system “Clinic without queues” was introduced as part of the medical reform and now operates in 18 areas: Kiev, Odessa, Sumy, Volyn, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Nikolaev, Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zhytomyr , Lviv, Vinnitsa, Kharkov, Zaporizhia, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kirovograd and Rivne. More than 8,800 doctors have already connected to the service.
