Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has said that Ukrainian pensioners may not wait for the promised indexation in April. The reason is the absence of a law passed on changes to the state budget.

It is reported Donpress, reports “MFN”.

Shmygal notes that the government is aware of the need to index pensions and is working on this issue. However, quarantine conditions have affected the activities of the authorities. The Ministry of Social Policy will continue to seek funds for indexing. Indexing is still possible in April, but it is extremely difficult. He noted that immediately after the Verkhovna Rada adopted Bill 3279 on changes to the state budget for 2020, the country could continue on the path planned to improve the welfare of retirees.

In addition, he stressed that the country’s leadership is using funds from the stabilization fund to fight the coronavirus for material assistance to those who have lost the opportunity to earn a living.

Let us recall, as indicated previously, that Ukraine is associated with the “DPR”: five joint projects for the well-being of the country.
