Ukrainian schools plan to introduce the subject “Financial Literacy”
The National Bank of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science plan to make the financial education course a permanent subject.
This was announced by the director of the communications department of the NBU, Natalya Bondarenko, during an online presentation of the educational series of the Ministry of digital transformation, digital currency, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.
“In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, we are currently working to make elective financial literacy a permanent academic subject, and for secondary and secondary education, we have developed a learning platform where we will not only provide fast knowledge children, but also to teachers and science teachers. As noted, from 2012 to 2019, the Department of Education and Science, with support from USAID, introduced the experimental teaching of the course “Financial Literacy” into the general secondary education system. Each year the course has been improved in accordance with the wishes of teachers, methodologists, experts, students and their parents.
Since 2019, an optional financial education course has been introduced in Ukrainian schools.
