Ukrainians started testing for anti-coronavirus antibodies – 1355 ELISA tests have already been done
In Ukraine, testing has started using the ELISA method, which allows the detection of antibodies to the coronavirus in the human body. As of May 27, 1355 ELISA tests have already been performed.
About this on Facebook informs the Center for Public Health (DSP).
“In Ukraine, tests started using the ELISA method. In particular, as of May 27, 1355 tests have been performed,” said the report.
Thus, IFA tests are currently being carried out in the regions of Vinnitsa, Donetsk, Transcarpathian, Kiev, Lugansk, Kharkov, Kherson and Kiev.

“Currently, at least 62 laboratories, including private laboratories (15) are carrying out diagnostics on COVID-19 in Ukraine. As of May 27, 312,532 samples have been examined by PCR (polymerase chain reaction) and 1355 ELISA tests (enzyme immuno-absorption test) “, – noted in DSP.
As Ukrinform previously reported, the enzyme linked immunosorbent test will greatly expand testing in Ukraine, since ELISA testing is much more affordable – unlike PCR testing. And that means expanding the groups to be tested.
