Ukrzaliznytsia has adopted the procedure according to which the methodology and mechanism for allocating space in small and medium-sized stations (class I-III) and the minimum requirements for these areas will be introduced.

This was said by the actor Chairman of the board of directors of JSC “Ukrazaliznytsya” Ivan Yurik, the press service of the company.

“The board of directors of the JSC” Ukrzaliznytsia “adopted for the first time the procedure for introducing the methodology and the mechanism for allocating space in small and medium-sized stations (classes I-III) and the minimum requirements for these We are talking in particular of stations such as Chernigov, Darnitsa, Shepetovka, Kremenchug, “said Yurik.

According to him, all of the company’s regional branches and other units that have stations on the balance sheet should develop an individual concept for each station: what and where it will be located. Consequently, the required services will be shared in the indicated stations: ticket offices, waiting rooms, sanitary facilities, etc., and free spaces will be rented for alternative facilities, for example, catering establishments, shops. The larger the total area of the station, the more space it is possible to rent.

“Each station holder will prepare a concept for his station, which we will study and adapt in detail from the point of view of rationality and aesthetic compatibility. If the concept is approved, the station and the balance holder will be authorized to transfer the space available for rental. Such a mechanism will be introduced for the first time, ”said Yurik.

In Ukrzaliznytsia, they add that there are 107 stations in the company network (excluding stations located in the occupied territory), including 15 extra-class stations, 8 class I stations, 37 class stations II and 47 class III stations. The station class is defined according to the passenger turnover, the total area of the station premises, baggage handling and cargo baggage, etc.

As indicated by Ukrinform, from July 1, 2020, a separate branch of Vokzalnaya Kompaniya will be created at JSC Ukrzaliznytsia to reorganize the facilities of the station. This reorganization should take place in two stages: firstly, the stations now managed by the Passenger Company branch (extracurricular and class I) will be transferred to the branch.

In the second stage, stations of other classes will be transferred, after which it is planned to determine 14 base stations, due to which it is planned to centralize financial, personal, legal and other functions.
