Beginning July 1, a four-day work week could begin in Ukraine if quarantine measures are continued to prevent the COVID-19 epidemic. The decision was made by the company’s board, coordinating it with representatives of industry associations, the press service of the railway operator report.

It has also been reported that Ukraine has taken several anti-crisis measures for the smooth functioning of the railway industry:

  1. Limited purchase of material and technical resources (services) is not related to the main business of the company
  2. Reduction in consumption of diesel fuel, electricity etc.
  3. The Commission should consider issues like lump sum incentives, surcharges, allowances, compensation for rental accommodation, etc. For the workers.

Recall that after the introduction of a national quarantine in Ukraine, the transport of passengers in all communications was temporarily suspended from 18 March.

Earlier we wrote that Ukrzaliznytsia decided to compensate Ukrainians for 100% of the cost of tickets for all trains leaving after 18 March. This was reported on the carrier’s website.

Also, passengers who have purchased tickets at the box office can return them through the box office or after quarantine. They promise to return the money for tickets for domestic routes within 90 days from the planned departure date, and for international ones within 180 days.

If we are talking about purchasing tickets through the online system, you have to register on the website, following the instructions, and return the tickets in the “Return Tickets” section. Money will be transferred to the traveler’s bank card within 30 days.
