The Cabinet of Ministers is preparing a decision which will simplify all the documents enabling the unemployed to apply for state aid.
This was announced by Minister of Social Policy Marina Lazebnaya on Friday evening on the Ukrainian TV channel, reports a correspondent from Ukrinform.
“The assistance system for low-income families is so constructed that a person can come in and show their income for the previous 6 months. We are simplifying this system for the unemployed and their families. We will only take the unemployment certificate. Nothing more. We will turn a blind eye to everything and just say to enter the system, because you have children. There is a supplement for each child. We will support these unemployed people and their families through a system of assistance for low-income families. This is our number one initiative, ”said Lazebnaya.
She hopes that the corresponding decision will be approved next week at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
In addition, added the Minister, the Cabinet of Ministers is currently developing a mechanism to pay childcare expenses for children under 10 years of age living up to the living standards of FPs who have no employees and who have temporarily stopped working their activities and lost profits during the quarantine period.

“That is to say that an individual – an entrepreneur who, as part of quarantine measures, has suspended his entrepreneurial activity and lost his income with children, can contact us, the Ministry of Social Policy”, said Lazebnaya.
It is expected that these payments will be made during quarantine and within 30 days of its completion, depending on the status of the quarantine measures and the state of the country’s economy.
