In Ukraine, around 700 to 800 fires in natural ecosystems are now recorded daily.

This was announced on the program “Savik Shuster Freedom of Expression” by the president of the state emergency services, Nikolay Chechetkin, reports a correspondent for Ukrinform.

“Today we repair on average around 700 to 800 fires from

ecosystems, and sometimes there are days when we record 1,200 fires somewhere (per day – ed.). In Ukraine as a whole, compared to the same period last year, we have recorded about 17,000 fires in natural ecosystems, their number has increased by a quarter. And the area of ​​these fires has increased by about a third, it now stands at more than 20,000 hectares, “he said.

According to him, “so far, we have had three complex forest fires”: one in the Chernihiv region, the fire goes out, another in the Zhytomyr region, on the border with the area of ‘exclusion, this fire is localized; extinction of fires in the Chernobyl area is also underway.

Chechetkin said that now Ukrhydromettsentr and the State Emergency Service twice a day

Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Anton Gerashchenko noted that at 95
