RSFSR artist Lev Leshchenko, 78, who was infected with the coronavirus and is now in Kommunarka hospital, recorded a musical call to his fans directly from the hospital ward.
The singer joined the flash mob, which was previously launched by the director of the Lev Leschenko Cultural Foundation, Andrei Gaidel, urging everyone to sing the famous song “Hope” from the artist’s repertoire (the authors of the composition are Alexander Pakhmutova and Nikolai Dobronravov).
Thank you all for such a flash mob at home. I never thought you would pick it up as much as we have as many great performers of this song. Now I don’t know how I’m going to go on stage: we have to find something special,
– noted Leshchenko in his video message.
Recall that until recently, the singer was in intensive care, but it seems that the condition of the artist has improved: a few days ago, he was transferred to an ordinary service. Leshchenko also called on fans to take care of their home, family, friends and health.
The artist was hospitalized on March 24 with a diagnosis of bilateral pneumonia. With him, his wife was taken to the hospital. Shortly before, he returned from his tour of the United States and Canada. A coronavirus test performed in the hospital gave a positive result.
On March 31, Leshchenko passed a second analysis, but the results are still unknown. According to Andrey Geidel, the singer’s test for the coronavirus was negative.
