Today, April 17, the official representative of the German federal government, Steffen Zeibert, announced that the Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal would travel “virtually” to Germany.
We know that the chief of staff will hold a virtual meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
According to Steffen Seibert, politicians will discuss the following questions:
- Measures to combat the coronavirus pandemic in Ukraine and Germany;
- Settlement of the Donbass conflict and implementation of the Minsk agreements by the parties to the conflict;
- Questions relating to German-Ukrainian bilateral relations;
- Reforms in Ukraine.
It should be noted that this will be Denis Shmygal’s first meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Politicians will get to know each other in videoconference mode because the coronavirus pandemic is dictating its rules.
