The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, said that Russia did not quarrel with Ukraine, but only disagreed with the Ukrainian authorities.
This is reported by the NPF with reference to dialog.ua.
The head of the Kremlin made such a statement in an interview with the television channel Russia-1.
According to Putin, the Ukrainian people are still “fraternal” for Russia.
“We did not argue with Ukraine. We disagreed with those in power there, and the Ukrainian people, as they were, will remain our brother people for centuries, “ He stated.
At the same time, Putin categorically rejected the occupation of Crimea by Russia, saying that the peninsula was “annexed” by a “popular referendum”.
The head of the Kremlin also rejects Russia’s participation in the Donbas war, imposing the theme of a “civil” war and stressing that this conflict is Ukrainian.
Nonetheless, the overwhelming evidence available confirms the direct participation of the Russian army in the conflict.
Earlier, it was reported that Putin proposed to divide the world.
