How mobile operators save basic services during quarantine
One of the most important human needs – communication – is only available by phone or Internet during quarantine. Therefore, the special conditions for the use of basic services that Ukrainian mobile operators introduced at the time of quarantine are very valuable. Let’s consider what the offers currently are genuine.
Kievstar: Free doctors call and online consultation
Kievstar raised its shares to 24 April 2020. During this period, customers can call the coronovirus prevention hotline, without paying for traffic. This will allow customers to defer payment for services used in March or April 2020. And those who do not use the credit limit can order additional funds without commission until 24 April.
Business customers of the company can connect to and use services that do not require a monthly fee to allow them to conduct business activity at the appropriate level. These are products such as virtual mobile PBX, Star.docs, Microsoft Office 365 services and StarTeams.
lifecell: virtual sim card and remote work support
Ukrainian mobile operator LifeCell provides a remote procurement service for a virtual SIM card – eSIM. And for the quarantine period, the Gloveo delivery service will deliver SIM cards from the nearest Lifesale stores.
To help organize remote work, the operator offers to use the capabilities of BEP Messenger, which allows you to make up to 10 video calls at the same time.
lifecell also said that calls are not placed on the hotline of Ministry of Health, Ministry of External Affairs and Government Contact Center. For customers who call these numbers while roaming.
In addition, during the epidemic, 6,000 Ukrainian doctors received 1,500 minutes and 20 GB each lifetime free of charge.
Vodafone: Unlimited social networks and tools for remote work
Vodafone has given its customers unlimited access to social networks (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, PinTest) and instant messenger (Viber, Telegram, WhatsApp, Skype, Snapchat). In addition, customers had free access to entertainment services – Vodafone Books, Vodafone Market, Vodafone Kids Market and Vodafone Kids Club.
