The World Health Organization (WHO) has recorded cases of animal infection of COVID-19 by humans, but so far no case of human infection by animals has been recorded.
This was announced by Health Minister Maxim Stepanov during a briefing on April 26, according to a Ukrinform correspondent.
“If we look at official reports from the World Health Organization, there are cases where dogs or other animals have gotten sick from a person. For the transmission of COVID-19 disease occurs a person by drops that are released during sneezing, etc. Cases of human disease from animals around the world are not officially recorded, “said Stepanov.

The minister urged citizens to follow the advice of the Ministry of Health: wash their hands, use disinfectants and use protective equipment. “Then we will be healthy and defeat this coronavirus disease much more quickly,” he said.
