Former Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili returns to Ukrainian politics.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has always found a place in Ukrainian politics for Mikhail Saakashvili. The former president of Georgia will now chair the executive committee for reform.

Recall that they spoke of Mikheil Saakashvili’s return to Ukrainian politics in mid-April. Various reports have appeared in the media on the position which had been prepared for Mr. Saakashvili. The “Servant of the People” party said it would become deputy prime minister for reform. Then MP Irina Vereshchuk said that Saakashvili would be more efficient in the office of the president.
Saakashvili himself said he had met with Head of State Vladimir Zelensky about his return to Ukrainian politics.
In addition, expert opinions were divided on this issue. Some believe that Saakashvili should not cooperate with the current Ukrainian authorities. Others see the appearance of the former Georgian president in Zelensky’s team as the right decision.
