“Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has embarked on a working trip to the Kiev region. The head of state will participate in a ceremony to commemorate the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident,” the statement said.
Zelensky will also examine the location of the fire in the Chernobyl area.
The President will meet with employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who participated in the elimination of a large-scale forest fire in the exclusion zone, and will present state awards, a indicated the PO.

As noted, today is the 34th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
